Recalling my college life, lots of feelings come into my mind, joys and sorrows, sweets and bitters, which is the most impressive period of my life. Here I’d like to share some experiences in not only learning languages but also the whole growth stage, hope it helps.
First of all, be initiative instead of being shy. As we know that, STU is offering usmany opportunities to strenthen ourselves. I am appreciate that my teacherSohani invited me to be the student guide of the Voice and Accent trainningstudio, which made me practise oral English and meet different peers. But also,I once failed to take part in one Korean project, it’s a great pity but I amnot regret to join the interview, for the reason that failure is also a goodteacher.
Second,don’t be afraid of making mistakes. We both are the students building ourselvesup at the university, to do is the firststep of exploring the world, no one can make sure they will not make mistakes.Even though you will probably get off the track, there will be wise man tofigure it out for you, that is the reason school exsits. The worst thing is youdo nothing to avoid being wrong. So as learning the languages, speak to otherswithout being afraid of making mistakes, and you will get the reactiondirectly, it will helps you a lot.
At last, what I want to say is to believe in yourselve.Take me for an example , beforeI migrated to Guangdong province when middle school, I know nothing about English,I always cried for the English homework, but I wasn’t defeated, finally Englishbecame my best subject. What’s more , I am self-contemptuous when I came intothe university, peers around seemed so perfect to me. After a few years Irealised that I am as good as every one of them.So don’t look down on yourself,what you need to do is set a proper target and get close to it little bylittle, there is no need to care about others.
All inall, I am very grateful to STU, she gives me the courage to face anythinghappen in my life, good or bad. So, cherish your time at STU, wish you all abright future.
